Academic Learning Center - Test Administration
Students from institutions like Indiana State, Utah State, Brigham Young, Berkeley, Golden Gate University, Harvard, and others can arrange to take their exams at the Hartnell College (HC) Academic Learning Center. The college charges a $25 fee to administer exams from other institutions; however, this fee does not apply to exams from other California community colleges or exams taken by HC students or alumni.
Assessment Exams/College Placements are available through our STAAR* Assessment Center at (831) 759-6054 or (831) 755-6820.
Hartnell College Online Class Students can visit the Tutorial Center in the Library (Library/LRC 214) M-TH 9am-5pm, Fridays 9am-2pm or the Computer lab (CAB 211) some evenings and Saturdays to have exams administered (see current Class Schedule, see Bus 200 for Computer lab hours). Off Campus Exam Administration can be arranged and documented using the form below.

Exam Administration Information:
Testing can be arranged through the Learning Center by appointment M -Th between 9am to 5pm, Fridays 9am to 3pm. (Testing on weekends can sometimes be arranged through our Assessment Center, call (831) 759-6054 or (831) 755-6820 for more information) The coordinator's office is located in the Library/LRC 213/214) , second floor in the back on the left. Please bring a valid picture ID like a student ID or a driver’s license. Exams may be monitored by video.
Parking and Directions:
Parking on campus is $2 per day (bring quarters), street parking is free. You can also purchase a daily parking permit online.
Fees:
The college charges a $25 testing fee that can be paid by cash, exact change please, or check at the time of the exam or in advance if you need a receipt. If you pay in advance, tell the cashier that Frank Henderson will provide the test administration document after you take the exam. The Cashier's Window is located in the first floor lobby of the CALL building. Reminder: fees are not charged for exams from other California community colleges or exams taken by HC students or alumni.
