Womens Volleyball News Highlights:



On Friday, September 6th, the Lady Panthers traveled to Cosumnes River College in Sacramento for a four way tournament. The first match of the day was against West Hills College. Hartnell defeated West Hills (25-17, 25-9, 25-20). Standouts from this match were freshmen Alondra Haro (Alisal High School) with 11 Kills, and Hannah Gardoni (Gonzales High School) with 18 setting assists. The next match was against Los Medanos College. Hartnell had a small bump in the road during the second set but ended up defeating Los Medanos (25-13, 19-25, 25-18, 25-10). Sophomore and team co-captain Nalli Gomez (Alisal High school) lead with 23 digs and 4 service aces. The last and final match was against the hosting team Cosumnes River. Hartnell defeated Cosumnes River in a very exciting match (25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-12). Sophomore and team co-captain Mackenzie Nelson (North Salinas High School) dished up 32 digs, while freshmen Lauren Colesberry (Notre Dame High School) added 6 blocks and 10 kills. Winning all three matches not only gave Hartnell the first place finish but improves the overall record to 4-1. The Lady Panthers will be hosting a home match against Columbia College this Saturday, September 12th at 12:00pm.
