Assistant Coach: Veronica Companion
Head Coach Jamie Pedroza enters her fourth year at the helm for the Lady Panthers (2008-2011). Prior to Hartnell, she was the head girl's coach at North Monterey County High School in 2007. From 2004-2006, Coach Pedroza was the top assistant for the California State University, Monterey Bay women's program (NCAA Division II). Her duties included game preparation, skills development, weights and conditioning, recruiting, and directing the summer camp. Coach Pedroza was also the Director of the Monterey Volleyball Club for three years from 2004-2006. She has additional experience coaching club, camps, clinics, private lessons, and at the high school level. In the off season, Coach Pedroza is currently the head coach of the 18-1 team for IMUA Volleyball Club.
After red-shirting at San Diego State University (NCAA Division I), Coach Pedroza played at Palomar Community College (San Diego area) for one year before transferring to CSU Monterey Bay. She finished her eligibility at CSUMB by playing three years for the Otters. Her playing accolades include Scholar-Athlete awards, Team MVPs, All-Conference selections, NAIA Player of Week, and top ten school rankings in various statistical categories.
Coach Pedroza has an Associate of Arts from Palomar College (2001), a Bachelor of Science in Earth Systems Science and Policy with a Minor in Coaching from California State University, Monterey Bay (2004), and a Master of Arts in Education, also from CSUMB (2008). A native of Escondido (CA), Coach Pedroza now resides in Marina with her husband and their dogs.
