Board Policies

1405 Adoption of Board Policy and Administrative Procedures
The Governing Board may, pursuant to law, adopt any policy and provide for the enforcement of administrative regulations not inconsistent with law or with rules prescribed by the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.

Governing Board Policy shall be defined as a statement of intent by the Governing Board on a specific issue. Board policies will be implemented by the Superintendent/President of the College.

Administrative procedures shall be developed by the Management Staff of the College and issued by the Superintendent/President as statements of methods to be used in implementing Board Policy. Such procedures shall be consistent with the intent of Board Policy.

The adoption, modification, revision or termination of Governing Board policies shall require a one meeting lapse between the introduction of the proposal and action of the Governing Board, unless the Governing Board shall by unanimous vote of the members present and voting waive the one meeting lapse requirement.
