Board Policies

1435 Injury and Illness Prevention Policy
Hartnell Community College is committed to providing a safe and healthful work place for all of its employees and to providing a safe and healthful facility for students and college site visitors.

To fulfill its obligation, the District has developed an Injury and Illness Prevention Program. The intent of this program is to prevent and to minimize the probability of injury and illness to workers, students and visitors and to comply with applicable State, Federal, and Local health and safety codes, standards, and regulations. The District, its Board and its management pledges to support this program to ensure that it remains a viable method of protecting all employees and all other site occupants.

The District policy will be to promote an active and aggressive program with the reduction and/or control of safety and health risks a high priority in District plans and budgets. The Injury and Illness Prevention Policy Procedures are located in the Office of the Vice President Administrative Services.
