2265 Use of Lottery Funds

The Board of Trustees recognizes that the use of lottery funds received by the District shall be "exclusively for the education of pupils and students and [that] no funds shall be spent for acquisition of real property, construction of facilities, financing of research or any other non-instructional purpose" as set forth in State law. Since lottery receipts depend on factors beyond the control of the District and the amounts received may vary from year to year, it is in the best interest of the District that expenditures from lottery funds shall be made only after the State distributes to the District its share of lottery receipts each fiscal year.
