All persons employed in non-academic positions shall, within 10 working days of date of employment, be fingerprinted as mandated by Section 88024, of the Education Code. Substitute and temporary employees, employed for less than a school year, may be exempted from these provisions at the discretion of the Governing Board. The District shall provide the means for the completion of the identification cards. Prints taken shall be transmitted to the Department of Justice for determination whether the person has been arrested or convicted of any crime.
Fees for fingerprinting costs shall be charged as determined by the Department of Justice under the authority of Section 88024, of the Education Code. Fees charged by that agency and any fees required by a local law enforcement agency shall be paid by the District from its general fund.
All persons employed in full and part-time academic positions who have not previously been employed by a school or community college district in this state, shall be fingerprinted within 10 working days of date of employment, as authorized by Section 87013, of the Education Code. Fingerprinting, together with a personal description, shall be transmitted to the Department of Justice which will furnish a record of conviction, if any.
