No applicant for a part-time or substitute teaching position may commence
his or her duties until the following actions have been taken:
1. A complete application and official transcripts with proof of degree
and/or copy of current credential has been filed with the Office of
Human Resources and
Equal Employment Opportunity.
2. The applicant meets the minimum qualifications for the discipline,
or the equivalent.
3. The applicant has been interviewed and approved by the supervising
Dean or Director and at least one faculty member in the discipline,
and is approved for recommendation by the Vice-President for Instruction.
The Superintendent/President or designee, in conjunction with the
Director of Human Resources and
Equal Employment Opportunity, has established
procedures to implement this policy. These procedures are located
in the Office of Human Resources and
Equal Employment Opportunity.
