Introduction
Dear Student,
The class is intended for students who want to participate in intercollegiate soccer.

Course Description
This course offers advanced instruction and practice in offensive and defensive fundamentals, techniques for each position, rules, organizational methods, and coaching principles.
Course Objectives
Physical Fitness Development Objective
1. Students should be able to participate and complete warm-ups, drills, and games designed to improve cardiovascular fitness.
Cognitive Development Objective
2. Students should be able to identify, interpret, and explain the rules of the game of soccer.
3. Students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of principles, strategies, movement concepts and tactics as they apply to learning and the performance of soccer.
Motor Skill Development Objective
4. Students should be able to demonstrate with an increasing degree of proficiency and acquisition proper techniques in executing the soccer pass, shot, dribble and trap.
Affective Development Objective
5. Students should be able to value physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self expression, and /or social interaction.
6. Students should be able to exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity setting.

17-16 Class Days of Attendance = D
15 or below Class Days of Attendance = F
Extra-credit assignments are offered during the semester and points earned are added to a student’s total score. All assignments must be typed using twelve-point Ariel or Times New Roman Font, double spaced, and covered by a title page (title of assignment, name, and date). Written material is not graded.
