Financial Aid Dates and Deadlines
Hartnell College Title IV Institution Code 001209Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to students who complete their application by March 2nd of each year. The school will review your application and request supplemental documentation and more information if it is necessary to complete your file. You will receive an award letter once the College has received your SAR from the federal government.
The following are important dates to remember:

2013-2014 FAFSA form available - go to www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply. 2013-2014 CA Dream Act Application available - go to www.caldreamact.org to apply. |
March 2nd of each year |
Cal Grant GPA Verification (postmark) deadline to apply for Cal Grant A, B, or C for the 2012-2013 academic year. Hartnell College priority filing deadline for the 2012-2013 academic year. |
June 25, 2013 |
Census date for the Summer 2013 term. Your enrollment on this date will used to determine your financial aid eligibility. No other adjustments will be made to your aid unless you withdraw from all classes. If your financial aid is processed after census date it will be based on your enrollment at that time. |
July 3, 2013 |
Last day to submit your Summer 2013 Financial Aid Appeal form for Summer 2013 disbursement. |
July 12, 2013 |
Last day to submit your new 2012-2013 Verification Documents, for possible consideration of Financial Aid Payment. |
July 19, 2013 |
Last day to submit your 2012-2013 follow up documents and/or information required for your financial aid file. |
September 2nd of each year |
Secondary deadline for Cal Grant only for community college students. If you have completed at least 24 degree applicable units by the end of the Summer Term, Hartnell College will send your GPA electronically on your behalf. |
