Hartnell Community College is a comprehensive community college that serves the entire Salinas Valley in Monterey County, California. The College was founded in 1920 and renamed in 1948 to perpetuate the name of William E. P. Hartnell, founder of California’s first post-secondary educational institution.
Today, as we enter our ninth decade of service to the community, the sense of energy, commitment and willingness to push the limits of how and where we deliver education remains as strong as ever.
