during a Course at the New Media CenterThe New Media Center at Hartnell Community College is one of three regional media centers awarded by the Chancellor’s Office through an Economic and Workforce program in the State of California. The purpose of the regional media centers is to meet the need of the growing work force by providing free educational technology trainings to help businesses increase efficiency and productivity. Our region, Region 5, also reaches out to the Spanish speaking business owners that make up a large percentage of our vibrant and diverse community. Through a variety of trainings, workshops and events the New Media Center promotes the adoption of “iima4biz”, Interactive Internet and Mobile Applications for Business, bringing the latest trends in technology to our workforce.

The fast paced changes in technology have left many business owners and students with a desire to get up to date understanding how to best utilize some of these applications such as face book, twitter, quick response codes and online marketing.
