Dr. Christopher Villa is the vice president of student services at Fresno City College, a position he has held for approximately three years. Prior to arriving at Fresno, Dr. Villa was vice president of student support services at Long Beach City College for three years. He also has served as assistant vice president for student access and support services at California State University Northridge, as associate dean of student services at College of the Canyons, and as assistant dean for minority recruitment and student affairs at the graduate school of the University of Utah.
He earned a bachelor's degree in social ecology from the University of California, Irvine, a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California, and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from the University of Utah.
Dr. Villa is on the executive board of the California Community College Chief Student Services Administrators Association. He is a mentor in the Puente program at Fresno City College. He served on the executive board of the Long Beach Community College Foundation and was Long Beach's campus liaison to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
