The Financial Aid Office at Hartnell College will hold a workshop on Saturday, February 3, 2007, to provide one-on-one assistance with understanding and completing all the forms required in applying for financial aid.
The workshop, called Cash-4-College, will help parents and students complete both state and federal forms, including the FAFSA form, which is required for all financial aid, and the Cal Grants application, which may provide up to $8,000 in state aid.
The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the dining hall at Hartnell Collegeís Main Campus at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas. Assisstance will be given in both Spanish and English.
Participants should bring documents needed to complete the 2007-08 FAFSA form, including information about their 2006 income taxes, W-2 forms or income statements, and, if applicable, the studentís driverís license number and social security number.
All participants will be entered in a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship and other prizes.
