Hartnell College to Offer Financial Aid Workshop for Current and Future Students

February 1st, 2005

If you want to know more about financial aid opportunities at Hartnell College, mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 5.

That's the date that the college's financial aid department will offer a free workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. in the College Center.

The workshop is aimed at currently enrolled Hartnell students as well as high school students who may plan to attend the college in the future.

"Our staff will provide students with general information about federal and state financial aid opportunities available as well as help students and their parents fill out applications," says MaryHelen Dorado, Hartnell's director of financial aid. "The sooner a student applies the sooner the financial aid department will be able to determine need," she said.

Even currently enrolled Hartnell students can apply up until June 30 for financial aid for this semester, said Celia Barberena, Hartnell's vice president for student services. "We urge any student on campus or students thinking of going on to Hartnell or another college to stop by the workshop for valuable information," she said.

For more information about the workshop, call (831) 755-6806.
