The Bond Oversight Committee of the Hartnell Community College District voted unanimously to accept the report of independent certified public accountants at its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, January 31. The report will now go to the Board of Trustees.
The report found no exceptions in any of the required tests. Specifically, the district was found to be in compliance with procedures relating to disbursements of funds, the appropriateness of expenditures, and the classification of expenditures.
The Bond Oversight Committee is a community-wide committee charged with overseeing the expenditure of Measure H funds in connection with construction projects. Measure H, a $131 million bond measure approved by voters in November 2002, is financing and renovating buildings, upgrading technology systems, and updating safety equipment at the college.
The report is available online or for public view in the Business Office at Hartnell.
