Hartnell College continues its popular international dinners for community members on Tuesday evenings this winter and spring beginning February 24th.
All meals are served between 5:30 and 6 p.m. in Steinbeck Hall of the College Center at the college’s main campus at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas.
This year’s line-up of delicious dinners is: Italian (Feb. 24); French (March 3); Chinese (March 10); Irish Corned Beef & Cabbage (March 17); German (March 24); Greek (March 31); Filipino (April 14); Hawaiian (April 21); Louisiana Creole (April 28); Cinco de Mayo (May 5); Japanese (May 12); and American Roast Beef (May 19).
There is no dinner on April 7, when the college is on spring break.
The March 17 dinner marks the Fifth Annual Irish Night, an especially festive affair to honor St. Patrick with a corned beef and cabbage meal, Irish music, and Irish dancing entertainment provided by the Spirit of Salinas.
These international meals will be served buffet style. The cost of each dinner is $7.50 for adults and $ 5 for children. The Irish Dinner will be $8.
Hartnell College has been offering these community dinners for 26 years.
