On Saturday morning, March 1, 2008, the Hartnell College track will be the site of the inaugural “Run for College” 5K run. The run for middle school students steps off at 8:30 a.m. sharp.
This event, which also includes relay races for educators and families, is the kick-off activity for the Hartnell College GEAR UP program’s celebration of College Awareness month, which is observed in March.
Middle school students at participating schools, parents, teachers, and staff are invited to participate in this special event that celebrates a brighter future through academic achievement.
The event is free. Prizes will be awarded to the top five boys and girls finishers, and all 5K participants will receive a T-shirt.
