March Music at Hartnell College

March 5th, 2007

The music program at Hartnell College will host two musical events in March.

On Sunday afternoon, March 11, at 3 p.m., please join us for a Chamber Music Concert featuring three small ensembles that will perform both traditional and modern music: the Wild Coast Brass Quintet, the Hartnell College Clarinet Choir, and the Monterey Trombones, with special guest vocalist James Grainger, bass.

The Chamber Music Concert will be in the Recital Hall, PA 125, in the Performing Arts Center at Hartnell College in Salinas. The public is invited and admission is free.

On Friday evening, March 16, the Hartnell College Foundation invites you to the American “Hit Parade” Extravaganza, which includes dinner and an evening of music. This is the annual Music Department Fundraiser.

The cost for dinner, wine, and a full evening of music from the American “Hit Parade” is $25 per person. Proceeds benefit the instrumental and choral music programs at Hartnell College. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. in Steinbeck Hall of the Hartnell College Center.

For more information and to purchase tickets in advance, contact the Music Department or the Foundation Office at 755-6810, or call the ticket hotline at 770-6160. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
