Hartnell College Physics Club Wins National Award

March 6th, 2006

Hartnell College's Society of Physics Students (SPS) - a campus club - has been named an Outstanding SPS Chapter for the 2004-05 school year.

Less than 10 percent of SPS chapters nationwide (about one per state) are so honored.

The club's adviser, Jesse Cude, physics instructor, says that in addition to organizing research activities and field trips for its members, the club created a $10,000 endowment that provides a $500 scholarship for a deserving Hartnell student annually.
