Hartnell College Names Three Finalists for Superintendent/President

On Wednesday night at a special meeting of the Hartnell College Board of Trustees, the finalists for the position of superintendent/president of Hartnell College were announced.

The final candidates are:

Dr. Willard Lewallen, president of West Hills College in Coalinga, California;

Dr. Willard Lewallen (click for bio), president of West Hills College in Coalinga, California;

Dr. Betty Inclan, president of Berkeley City College in Berkeley, California

Dr. Betty Inclan (click for bio), president of Berkeley City College in Berkeley, California; and

Dr. Christopher Villa, vice president of student services of Fresno City College

Dr. Christopher Villa (click for bio), vice president of student services of Fresno City College in Fresno, California.

All members of the public are invited to meet the candidates at public forums on Thursday afternoon, March 29, at Steinbeck Hall in the Student Center on Hartnell's main campus at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas. Each forum will last 50 minutes:

2 p.m. Dr. Willard Lewallen
3 p.m. Dr. Betty Inclan
4 p.m. Dr. Christopher Villa

Attendees will be invited to provide comments from these meetings to the Board, who will interview each candidate On Friday during a closed session meeting.
