Hartnell Hosts Political Forums Featuring Candidates in June 8 Elections

April 20th, 2010

The public is invited to attend two political forums co-sponsored by the Political Science Club at Hartnell College and the League of Women Voters of the Salinas Valley.

The first forum, on Monday, April 26, at 6 p.m., will feature candidates for California’s 28th Assembly District. The second forum, on Monday, May 3, at 6 p.m., will feature candidates for Monterey County Supervisor (District 2), Monterey County Superintendent of Schools, and Monterey County Sheriff.

Both events will be held in room 125 of the Performing Arts building.

These forums are designed to give voters an opportunity to hear and question the candidates so that they can make informed choices in the June 8 statewide primary elections. The free public events are anticipated to last from 6 until 9 p.m.

For more information on this event at Hartnell’s main campus at 411 Central Avenue in Salinas, please call Political Science Instructor Larry Adams at 831-755-6778, ladams@hartnell.edu.
