Salinas, Calif. - Hartnell College Child Development Center (CDC) is now accepting applicants during the open enrollment from April 21 - May 9, 2014 for priority consideration.
In the program, children are guided to develop confidence, independence, curiosity, motivation, and the ability to communicate and connect with others. The CDC accommodates up to 120 children.
Children must be at least three years olds on or before September 1, 2014 to enroll in the program. Call to arrange a visit to tour the facility and meet the staff.
The CDC lab provides supervised experience and training opportunities for college students completing teaching degrees and credentials. Student teachers implement a curriculum for young children which conform to the California State Department of Education Preschool Learning Foundations.
NEW - Transitional Kindergarten for children turning 5 between September 1 and December 2, 2014. This is a 4-day-a-week program offering a choice of two sessions: mornings from 8:30 - 11:30 AM or afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
"Free" Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten is available for income-eligible families from the entire community.
