A soul food barbecue will be held at Hartnell College on Thursday, May 18, to remember and honor Malcolm X, U.S. black leader who was killed in 1965.
The event is sponsored by the college's Black Student Union (BSU), a campus club.
The barbecue will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the campus quad area, according to Sharolyn Haulcy-Robinson, BSU member. The menu includes BBQ chicken, hot links, greens, cole slaw, corn bread, peach cobbler and soda. The cost is $7-$9.
