Hartnell College High School Equivalency Program Graduates on Friday

June 1st, 2011

Hartnell College's High School Equivalency Program (HEP) will hold its graduation ceremony at the Main Gym on Hartnell's main campus on Friday, June 3, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. Approximately 80 students will be recognized for earning their GED. All of the graduates will be pursing post-secondary education.

Since 2006, more than 350 students, who are themselves migrant or seasonal workers or who are the children of migrant or seasonal workers, have earned their GEDs, or general equivalency diplomas, in Hartnell's program. HEP is funded by a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Migrant Education.

For more information about this event or about HEP, please contact HEP Director Carla Calderon Johnson at (831) 770-7077 or cjohnson@hartnell.edu.
