The administration of justice program at Hartnell College recently received a $5,700 grant that will enable it to update its law enforcement firearms.
The grant is from the Friends of the National Rifle Association (NRA) of Monterey County. The organization also gave Hartnell a grant of $2,700 last year, according to Henry Jewell, chairman of the Friends of the NRA.
"We are very grateful for the support of the Friends of the NRA," said Lindsey Bertomen, administration of justice instructor.
Bertomen wrote the grant request along with Lou Wolting, former part-time instructor in Hartnell's AJ program and past investigator with the Monterey County District Attorney's Office.
