Hartnell Hosts Information Sessions on Accreditation

Hartnell College will host two community forums to address the June 29th report of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges placing it on probation. Hartnell College remains fully accredited by WASC.

The first meeting will be held at its King City Education Center, 117 N. Second Street in King City on Thursday, July 5, at 4 p.m.

The second meeting will be held on the main campus in Salinas on Monday, July 9, at 4 p.m. That meeting will be in room 125 of the Performing Arts Facility, 411 Central Avenue.

Interim Superintendent and President Dr. Phoebe Helm, Hartnell Board Chair Aaron Johnson, and representatives from the Academic Senate, the Faculty Union, and the Classified Senate will explain what the report means and how the college will meet the requirements of the report in the time frame required by the commission.

All members of the college, the community, and the media are invited to attend these information sessions.
