Hartnell College is hosting the 2007 National Conference of the Mediaglobe Users Group from August 16 through 18.
Mediaglobe is a digital dome imaging product of Konica Minolta that modern planetariums use for projecting astronomical images and data. Hartnell College installed its mediaglobe in May 2004, and was the first user in the western United States.
The conference will feature workshops, seminars, and demonstrations aimed at increasing users’ skills in show production and digital planetarium utilization.
Participants are coming from science centers, schools, and universities from across the United States, including North Carolina, Indiana, Florida, and Wyoming.
For more information, please contact conference host, Hartnell College Planetarium Director Andy Newton at 831-755-6803, or planetarium design and technology consultant Philip Groce at 478-719-0661.
