Charges Against Hartnell College President Dismissed

August 24th, 2004

The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing informed Hartnell College on August 20 that charges of harassment filed against Hartnell President Edward J. Valeau by faculty member Lydia Hampton-Stewart earlier this year have been dismissed by the agency on a finding of no probable cause to prove the charges.

An earlier independent investigation of the same charges had also concluded that the faculty member's charges were unfounded.
