SALINAS, Calif. - On Friday, September 13, 2013, Hartnell College will hold the Grand Opening Ceremony & BBQ for its new Athletics Field House at the Hartnell Athletics Complex on 411 Central Avenue, Salinas, CA. This event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Emcee for the ceremony is KSBW’s Dennis Lehnen; he will introduce these guest speakers:
- Candi DePauw - Hartnell College Board of Trustees
- Dr. Willard Lewallen - Hartnell College Superintendent/President
- Bruce Adams - Chair, Athletics Committee/ VP, Central Coast Federal Credit Union
- Steve Goldman - SSB Construction
- Lino Belli and David Peartree - Belli Architectural Group
- Damon Felice - Felice Consulting
- Danny Teresa - Hartnell Athletics Director
The Field House is a 5,000 square foot facility that includes amenities seen at large universities.
This is Phase II in a three-phase plan to offer the Hartnell students and the community with a beautiful and comfortable location to study, play, and enjoy sports.
“It is an exciting time for Hartnell College athletics,” said Daniel Teresa, Athletics Director. “This new field house brings to the programs, three smart classrooms, concession stand, bathrooms, and an athletic training room for our trainers. This allows our student athletes and coaches to have a first class facility out by our athletic fields.”
