Campus Construction Projects at Hartnell College to be Discussed at Community Meeting on September 24th

September 16th, 2004

Ongoing construction projects at Hartnell College, which administrators say are "on schedule and on budget," will be discussed Friday, Sept. 24, at a campus meeting that is open to the community.

The "construction update" meeting will be held at 2 p.m. in the board room of the Classroom/Administration Building (CAB).

The purpose of the monthly meetings is to keep community members, Hartnell faculty, staff members and students informed on the progress of construction projects and campus upgrades, which were funded by the successful passage in 2002 of the college's $131 bond measure and other state funds, according to Stan Crane, assistant to the president for Measure H.

Two of the major buildings going up at the corner of Central and Homestead avenues are a new Learning Resource Center (library) and a parking garage.

Crane and other administrators will be on hand to answer questions from the community.

Other update meetings to be held this year are scheduled for Oct. 29, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17. For more information on the construction update meeting, call the president's office at Hartnell College, (831) 755-6900.
