"Magic Sky," a fun-filled introduction to basic astronomical concepts for families with children ages 3-12, will be presented in October at the J. Frederic Ching Planetarium on the Hartnell College campus.
The show will begin at 11 a.m. on two Saturdays-Oct. 12 and 19.
"Stories are told through words and songs as youngsters are introduced to the planetarium, the solar system and the night sky," according to Andy Newton, planetarium coordinator. "Children will meet the sun, the moon, the planets and learn about some of our constellation friends," he added.
General admission is $3; tickets for youth (under 18) and seniors (60 and over) are $2.
No seating is allowed once the show begins. Tickets are sold at the door 20 minutes before show time.
The planetarium is located on the west side of the campus, near Merrill Hall.
