Hartnell College President Awarded American Police Hall of Fame Award

Edward J. Valeau, president of Hartnell College, is the recipient of an American Police Hall of Fame Award, an honor recognizing community service and acts of valor.

He was presented the honor on Oct. 5 by Greenfield Chief of Police Joe Grebmeier at a board meeting of the college's board of trustees.

He was presented the honor on Oct. 5 by Greenfield Chief of Police Joe Grebmeier, in his presentation, said the award was based on help provided by Hartnell student interns from the college's administration of justice program to the Greenfield Police Department.

He was presented the honor on Oct. 5 by Greenfield Chief of Police Joe The American Police Hall of Fame, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1960 to honor law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. The organization's memorial has been engraved with the names of more than 7,000 officers who have died on duty.
