President’s Council Reception a Success at Tanimura & Antle

SALINAS, Calif. - On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, Tanimura & Antle hosted a President’s Council Acknowledgment Reception for Hartnell College at 1 Harris Road, Spreckles, CA.

This is the third event of its kind to honor and celebrate major sponsor support for Hartnell College’s programs and its students.

During the presentation, Hartnell College Board of Trustees President, Candi DePauw, and Hartnell College Foundation Board President, Gary Tanimura recognized individuals and organizations that envision, inspire, and support students to achieve their goals towards higher education.

Since 2006, the Hartnell College Foundation has raised over $16 million from businesses, foundations, and individuals, helping to leverage over $9 million in additional grant funds from state and federal sources to create new programs and revitalize others.

Hartnell College Superintendent/President, Dr. Willard Lewallen thanked all the donors and emphasized the importance of the College Foundation in taking the institution to the next level of opportunity, engagement, and achievement towards student success.

Dr. Lewallen was proud to mention successes, including the grand opening of the Athletics Field House, the opening of the new Technical Training building in the Alisal campus in January 2014, breaking ground on a new science building soon, among others.
