International Community Dinners Offered at Hartnell College
Salinas Valley Builders Exchange Supports Next Generation of Construction Workers

October 28th, 2009

On Friday, October 30, at 12:30 p.m., the Salinas Valley Builders Exchange will present a check to the Hartnell College Construction Technology Program during its membership meeting and barbeque at 20 Quail Run Circle in Salinas. John Bosio, chair of Hartnell’s Construction Task Force, will be accepting the check on behalf of Hartnell.

This donation is the first installment that honors the Builders Exchange’s pledge of $100,000 to the Construction Technology Program, so that Hartnell College, with the support of the local construction industry, can develop a workforce for the 21st century. The Builders Exchange will hold special fundraising events over the next several years to fulfill this commitment.

Friday’s event is a way for the Exchange to thank its members for their continued support, according to Christie Cromeenes, executive director of the Builders Exchange. “We will forge ahead with our pledge to the Hartnell College Technology Program because we believe strongly in supporting education today to develop the workforce of tomorrow.”
