The Hartnell College Board of Trustees and the college's Bond Oversight Committee are continuing to accept applications from the community for one vacant position on the committee.
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, Dec. 16.
The committee is a community-based group that oversees expenditues regarding the $131 million Measure H bond that was passed by Salinas Valley voters in 2002. Measure H is funding several improvements on the 85-year-old campus.

Candidates for the vacant position must be a member of 'a bona fide taxpayers' organization,' as outlined in the California Education Code.
Applications for the position may be made by submitting a letter outlining qualifications to the Office of the President, 411 Central Ave., Salinas, CA 93901.
Applications will be reviewed by members of the Bond Oversight Committee and referred to the Board of Trustees for appointment. Further information is available by contacting the president's office at Hartnell College, (831) 755-6900.
