Meetings will be held at Hartnell College on Dec. 13 and Dec. 17 to provide local residents with information about construction projects currently under way on the campus.
The public is invited to attend both meetings, which will be held in the boardroom of the Classroom/Administration Building (CAB).
On Monday, Dec. 13, the community-wide committee charged with overseeing construction projects funded by the passage of Measure H in 2002 will meet at 3:30 p.m. The seven-member group, officially called the Bond Oversight Committee, is chaired by Joey Lasnik, former member of the college's board of trustees.
Measure H is a $131 million bond measure that is financing additional buildings (including a parking garage and library), renovating buildings, upgrading technology systems, updating safety equipment, and bringing the college into the 21st century.
On Friday, Dec. 17, a general "construction update" meeting will be held at 2 p.m. The monthly meeting is intended to keep community members, Hartnell faculty, staff members and students informed on the progress of construction projects and campus upgrades, which were funded by Measure H and other state funds.
Stan Crane, assistant to the president for Measure H, and other administrators will be on hand to answer questions.
For more information on both meetings, call the president's office at Hartnell College, (831) 755-6900.
