Topic:Unfinished Business - Summary of departmental resource requests
Presenter:Ann Wright
Summary of Agenda Item:Ann began by expressing her feeling that it is difficult for the committee to make recommendations to meet the needs presented by the various areas. Discussion followed. Ann then stated that based on all the information provided related to available funds, there seems to be funding for appropriate departmental resource needs. Al commented that he will have a conversation with Dr. Lewallen in order to make his suggestions related to funding resource requests.
Action(s) required:Al to meet with Dr. Lewallen and will follow up with Ann to provide information obtained during that meeting.

Topic:Unfinished Business - Compressed calendar

Summary of Agenda Item:Briefly, Ann spoke about the compressed calendar and where the college is in the process. A strong recommendation was made to go ahead and make this happen; a scheduling model is underway. Stephanie Low added that the college may be ready to make the switch to a compressed calendar in fall 2014.
