Summary of Agenda Item:NOTE: This meeting was a joint meeting of RAC/FIS/Cabinet. Motions were voted on by RAC members only:

Motions passed 6/23/2009 by Resource Allocations Committee (RAC)

1.
The motion was:

To save the District $1,000,000 annually, the Resource Allocations Committee (RAC) recommends that the District pay for MCSIG Option III for all eligible employees for single and family, subject to approval by all employee groups. Employees have the option to purchase the difference to move up to Option I or Option II at their own expense.

Motion was so moved and seconded. (Motion made by Kelly Locke, seconded by L.Johnson)

After discussion, RAC members present voted in favor, with one abstention (Langston Johnson).

2.
The motion was:

RAC is accepting the recommendation of the Student Services Reorganization and moves that the recommendation go to CSEA to begin negotiations relating to CSEA as they are described on page 1 of the Student Services Reorganization (in-house changes). The financial impact of the reorganization would result in savings to the District of $33,333.08 annually.

Motion was so moved and seconded. (Motion made by Dale Fuge, seconded by Kelly Locke)

After discussion, RAC members present voted in favor. No abstentions.

3.
The motion was:

RAC is accepting the recommendation to eliminate 93 sections; adding back 63 sections, for a net change of 30 sections. The financial impact of closing 30 sections would result in savings to the District of $130,000 for Fall Semester 2009 only.

The motion was so moved and seconded. (Kelly Locke moved, seconded by Langston Johnson)

After discussion, RAC members present voted in favor. No abstentions.
